Meet the Flower Girls
Hi there! We're Lisa and Shira, the girls behind Berkin Flowers. We're here because we love crafting vibrant florals from the ground up - getting our hands dirty in the soil, digging and dividing dahlia tubers, hand-selecting market blooms, photographing flowers, and designing distinctive, seasonal floral creations that resonate with our amazing local customers.
We are so grateful to do what we love every day: sharing the joy of floral artistry.
Lisa Berkin
Lisa is the founder and owner of Berkin Flowers, formerly Lisa Berkin Designs. Her floral expertise spans over twenty years, specializing in container design, traditional floristry, and now flower farming, where she grows specialty and uncommon flowers to share with customers. Lisa has set a precedent of flower quality, design artistry, and a deep knowledge of growing and caring for flowers.
Lisa has passed down her love of flowers to her daughter, Shira, who now is now the other half of Berkin Flowers.

Shira Berkin
Shira is Lisa's daughter, and the other half of Berkin Flowers. Shira grew up watching her mom run Lisa Berkin Designs, and learning first-hand about all the work (and fun!) that goes into a flower business. After graduating from college, Shira found that her passion was working alongside her mom, designing flowers and becoming a partner in the business.

Sarah Carolan
Sarah is a multi-talented main team member at Berkin Flowers. She is a partner grower for our fresh farm flowers and subscriptions, as well as a container gardening lead with beautiful floristry talents! You can find Sarah on-site at the barn studio and all across the South Shore crafting beautiful residential and commercial container designs.
Ophelia (Flower Pug)
Ophelia is the proud mascot of Berkin Flowers. On a typical summer day, you can find her running around the flower yard, sometimes trampling the Dahlia beds, and chewing on woody stems. In addition to her valued talents on the farm, Ophelia is a connoisseur of the finer things in life: peanut butter, rotisserie chicken, Trader Joe's salmon jerky, and of course attention from all the humans. If you see her during flower pickups, be sure to say hello! She loves new and friendly faces.
